How to Customize a Framer Template in an Afternoon

Remixing a template is the fastest way to launch a professional site — but the difference between ‘obviously a template’ and ‘feels custom’ comes down to a few deliberate passes. Here’s the exact order I use.
Highlights
Start with real content before touching colors
Rebrand once at the style level, not layer by layer
Finish with metadata, domain, and a breakpoint pass
Start with the content, not the colors
Replace every placeholder headline and paragraph with your real copy first. Content changes layout — your headline may run longer, your list of services may be shorter. Get the words in early so every design decision after reflects reality.

Make the brand pass
Swap the color styles and text styles at the project level instead of touching individual layers. My templates are wired to shared tokens, so one change updates the whole site. Then replace imagery, keeping photography in a consistent tone.

Finish with the details
Update metadata and social previews, connect your domain, and walk through each breakpoint once. An afternoon is genuinely enough — the templates ship with responsive layouts, so your job is editing, not rebuilding.
Want a shortcut? Every template links to a live preview and a one-click remix, so you can start from a finished site instead of a blank canvas.
